overview of THE COLLABORATION RUBRIC® TOOLS

The tools we have built bring the Collaboration Rubric to you in simple and accessible ways.

  • The 3 tools give you the information you need to  PLAN,  ANALYSE and REVIEW  your partnership in an effective action learning cycle.

  • Each tool gives you an immediate, computer generated REPORT by email on how your collaboration is working

  • You may use the tools as an INDIVIDUAL  or as part of a  GROUP or network.

  • Individual users can use the tool at NO COST and will receive a report of their individual results;  groups incur a small charge for a report which aggregates group results.

PLAN – For Leaders in the Collaboration

The Planning Tool helps you determine the TYPE of collaboration you are trying to build - Coordinate, Coordinate, Cooperate or Create - and your readiness to undertake that TYPE of collaboration. It works particularly well as an initial tool to help leaders clarify scope of their collaboration.

The Planning Tool can offer you an individual user report or can show you the feedback from a group of users

Leaders who are planning a new collaboration, or wanting to inject new life into an established one, will find the Planning Tool a powerful device in a leadership forum to build consensus and identify how to build their collaboration.

Analyse – For Staff in the Collaboration

When you know the TYPE of collaboration that best describes your group or network (Communicate, Coordinate, Cooperate and Create) you may choose the brief, easy to use Analysis Tool, to be completed by all staff involved in the collaboration. Your identified Collaboration TYPE  will generate a tailored 15 item rating  survey which takes just a few minutes to complete. This brief, easy to use tool offers deeper insights into how well the collaboration is working, and provides recommendations to build and sustain it.

You can use the Planning Tool  as your starting point for understanding and building your collaboration, or if you know the Type of Collaboration you are aiming for, you could go straight to the Analysis Tool.

Try either tool as a single user ( at no cost), or as a group user (minimal cost per user).

REVIEW – FOR Staff in the Collaboration

After implementing recommendations from the Analysis Tool we recommend that you use the Review Tool, a brief, 15 item rating scale, at regular intervals to monitor how the collaboration is progressing over time.

The Review Tool will give you a report comparing your past performance with your current performance on the 15 Action Areas.
